Cracked Eats Policies
Please review the policies associated with our service to fully understand the guidelines and terms. This will give you full transparency about our service.
Money Back Guarantee
At Cracked Eats, we are committed to delivering an exceptional high end dining experience. Our money-back guarantee is designed to provide peace of mind, but please note that it is subject to the following terms and conditions. Refunds are not issued automatically and will only be considered under specific circumstances.
-
One-Time Service Eligibility: The money-back guarantee applies only to a one-time service quote with a minimum total of $1,997.
-
Proper Equipment: The client agrees to provide proper kitchen equipment or cover the additional cost for any necessary equipment required to ensure the success of the service.
-
No Disruption During Service: The client agrees not to disrupt the private chef during the preparation or service, as this can pose safety risks to both the client and their guests.
-
Disclosure of Allergies: The client is responsible for providing a full disclosure of any allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the service. Cracked Eats is not liable for any allergic reactions that occur if undisclosed allergies were not communicated.
-
Behavioral Expectations: Physical or verbal aggression towards the chef is strictly prohibited. Any such behavior will immediately void the money-back guarantee.
-
Clean Kitchen Requirement: The client must ensure the kitchen is clean and ready for use upon the chef’s arrival to begin the preparation process.
-
Refund Request Process: If a refund is requested, a mandatory call will be scheduled with a representative from Cracked Eats, the chef, and the client to review the service provided. During this call, the chef will provide a detailed account of the service and document the client's adherence to the six rules listed above. If the chef’s account disproves any of the client’s claims, a refund will not be issued.
Please note: Client will not be refunded after every term as well. Refund eligibility is contingent upon compliance with all of the aforementioned terms.
Equipment Damage and Liability
In instances where Cracked Eats is required to bring its own equipment to the client’s location, the client acknowledges responsibility for any damage to said equipment that occurs during the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by the client, their guests, children, pets, spouses, or any other individuals present at the location. Additionally, the client is responsible for any damages resulting from malfunctioning utilities, including but not limited to electricity, gas, or water supply within the client’s household.
Should any equipment be damaged during the service, the client agrees to cover a minimum fee of $500 to address the repair or replacement costs. The final fee may vary depending on the nature and extent of the damage, as determined by Cracked Eats. The client will be informed of the final amount following a thorough assessment of the damage.
By agreeing to this term, the client accepts full responsibility for any damage that may occur to Cracked Eats’ equipment during the service and agrees to compensate for the costs incurred to restore the equipment to its original condition.
Allergy Disclosure and Liability
The client is required to complete a comprehensive allergy disclosure form prior to the service. This form must be filled out with full honesty, detailing any allergies or dietary restrictions for both the client and their guests. Cracked Eats relies on the information provided to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the dining experience.
Cracked Eats is not liable for any allergic reactions that occur due to allergens not disclosed on the allergy form. If the client or their guests fail to fully disclose any allergies, Cracked Eats cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects arising from undisclosed allergens.
By agreeing to this term, the client acknowledges the importance of providing complete and accurate allergy information and understands that Cracked Eats is not liable for any issues caused by undisclosed allergens.
No Harassment Policy
Cracked Eats is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for both the client and our chefs. As part of our commitment to safety, we enforce a strict no harassment policy towards our chefs during the course of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, any form of physical or verbal aggression, as well as any disruption to the chef’s work or preparation without prior consent.
Disrupting the chef’s preparation or engaging in aggressive behavior creates an unsafe environment, which undermines the integrity of the service and can potentially jeopardize the safety of both the client and the chef. Such actions will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
By agreeing to this term, the client acknowledges and agrees to maintain a safe and respectful environment for the chef, ensuring that the service is conducted without harassment or interference. Disregarding this policy may result in the immediate termination of the service and forfeiture of any refund eligibility.
Clean Kitchen Requirement and Health & Safety Standards
Cracked Eats places the highest priority on the health, safety, and quality of service provided to our clients. As such, a clean and sanitized kitchen is a mandatory requirement for all services. The client agrees to provide a kitchen that is free from any hazards or contaminants, including but not limited to:
- A sink filled with dirty dishes
- Unclean stove tops
- Unclean countertops
- Unclean hoods or ventilation systems
- Unclean floors
- Unclean equipment
Any area requiring additional cleaning to meet health and safety standards will result in a fee of $100 per area. This fee covers the time and resources needed to bring the environment up to the required level of cleanliness for a safe and pristine service.
The safety of the service extends to preventing physical, biological, and chemical contamination, as well as cross-contamination, which can cause injury, illness, or, in extreme cases, fatality. To ensure a safe environment, all areas used for preparation must be thoroughly cleaned prior to the chef’s arrival.
If the client’s kitchen or residence is deemed unsafe for service—due to lack of cleanliness or any other factor that compromises the health and safety of our chefs and staff—the service may be immediately terminated. In such cases, the client forfeits any eligibility for a refund.
Cracked Eats reserves the right to document any unsafe conditions and will provide evidence of the client’s disregard of this term, should a dispute arise.

We accept the following payment methods:

By agreeing to this term, the client acknowledges that Cracked Eats has the right to keep the client's payment method on file and charge any additional fees for up to 24 hours after the service is completed, should the client disregard any terms and conditions outlined in the agreement, including but not limited to cleaning fees, equipment damage, or other penalties.
Cash is not accepted as a form of payment for the service, except when provided for gratuity to the chef and staff for the service rendered.
Documentation and Evidence Collection
Cracked Eats reserves the right for our chefs and staff members to take photos and document the area of preparation, location, and equipment used during the service. This documentation may also include recording instances of physical or verbal harassment or any actions that result in the need for additional fees or charges due to the client’s disregard of the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
Such documentation will be used as evidence to support any additional charges for services rendered, including but not limited to cleaning fees, equipment damage, or any other penalties incurred as a result of the client’s actions.
By agreeing to this term, the client acknowledges and consents to the documentation process, understanding that it is for the purpose of ensuring that Cracked Eats upholds the terms of the service and maintains a safe, professional environment for both the client and our staff.
Cancellation Policy
The client may cancel the service at any time; however, cancellations made within one week of the scheduled service will result in the forfeiture of any refund eligibility.
By agreeing to this term, the client understands and accepts that cancellations within this timeframe will not be refunded, in order to cover the costs and preparations made in advance for the service.
Traveling 25-Mile Radius Policy
Cracked Eats is based in New York City, and our standard service radius extends up to 25 miles from the city. Any requests for services outside of this 25-mile radius will incur a traveling fee. This fee covers, but is not limited to, expenses related to flights, rental cars, hotels, and any other necessary accommodations required to provide our high standard of service.
Please understand that our services are of the highest quality, and these standards must be met to ensure an exceptional experience for both the client and our chefs and staff members. When requesting services beyond the 25-mile radius, the client should anticipate and accommodate the additional costs associated with travel.
Cracked Eats is responsible for documenting each accommodation and the corresponding fees to ensure the client is fully informed of the total costs before service. The client will be provided with a clear breakdown of these fees for transparency.
